I am often asked to share cooking and other good housekeeping tips with my family, friends, and even strangers, including my recipes and simple how-tos for everyday and special occasions. This past Thanksgiving, I found myself in the supermarket giving recipes to people for dishes I assumed everyone had learned from family members. Such as how to make real macaroni and cheese, sweet potato souffle, and candied yams. My philosophy is make it easy, make it great! More is not always better. A little time spent with good information and planning means more time to enjoy friends, family and a good cocktail.
